The Crystal Ball at the Vineyard in Aquebogue June 3, 2026
On the warm spring evening of June 4, 2026 as the sun was reaching for its pocket in the sky, members, family and friends of the Irish American Society of the Hamptons started to swarm at the Vineyards in Aquebogue to celebrate the 42nd annual IAS Crystal Ball.
Settling down to enjoy the refreshing drinks from the open bar and to munch up the waitressed hors d ‘ oeuvres, we chatted , renewed friendships old, and new , and look forward to getting the party started.
Although table seating was pre-assigned , we all soon realized that once the band started to play the dance floor beckoned.
With a brief interlude to introduce the society’s Board of Directors, the IAS President Jim Kinnier recognized the contribution of outgoing Board of Directors Matt Dwyer and Molly Doyle for their jobs well done and then introduced Ellen Zimmerman as the society s Irish Person of the Year .
With Saint Rosalie‘s Father James Collado’s blessings , everyone anticipated their delicious evening meal of either filet mignon, grilled salmon or pasta primavera.
The great vibes continued throughout an evening which many wished would never end.
The Irish American Society of the Hamptons Crystal ball is definitely an event not to be missed .If for whatever the reason you couldn’t join us this year , mark your 2027 calendar for this event in early June . Better yet , come to one of the IAS‘s meetings on campus at Saint Rosalie‘s community center and experience the camraderie and shared good vibes yourself.
